I have been working with threads and nails as a medium to make art since 2013. A random DIY project during college summer vacation turned into my way of communicating art to the world. Thread, as a material, has always interested me because of its versatility & adaptability to any form & shape. I have experimented & successfully created art through various types of threads - from sewing thread to crochet thread, and jute thread to a nylon rope. This fascination with threads is the reason I work under the brand name STRINGS ATTACHED.

Avengers Wall String Art. Size: 10' X 6'.
My first ever artwork of this grand scale. A lot of trials & errors later, the vision was successfully achieved. A friend threw a random idea at me asking if I could directly drill the wall & secure the artwork. It was a challenge but I'm glad I took it up. The nails were directly drilled into a brick wall & then the threads were woven in.

A low poly string art for a client. Size: 12" X 15" on a Birchply. Made in 2021.

The bulb was designed on a laser-cut MDF board with the concept of a spirograph with Instagram's brand colors. size: 4'.
The quote wall was designed to show up in a negative space while the positive spacing was fully covered with threads, again in Instagram's brand colors. Size: 10' X 12'.

Lord Ganesha in the string art medium. I used silk threads for this project to get the glossy finish since the silhouette of Ganpati is considered auspicious. Since the silk threads are very thin, it took me 3x times more duration than usual to create a dense thread layer for the design to be visible properly. Made in 2018

This was a fun project where I designed a string art in a collage format. The individual pieces were amazing but the artwork is in its full glory only when seen together. The colors were chosen to compliment the existing yellow wall at the client's house. Made in 2019.

SHAKEY WAKEY - A fast food joint in Mumbai commissioned me to create a couple of art pieces for them. Made in 2017.
Top: Bricks wrapped in brand-colored threads (pink, blue & grey) & then installed on the wall along with the other bricks to create an exposed brick look.
Bottom: The nails were hammered in the brick wall to create an outline of the words & covered with threads.
